Thank You "Buz" Buse

I have many thanks for Buz Buse.  He was a great customer and supporter of Arnold's.  After the riots Buz would come into Arnold's or send me emails to support me or make suggestions.  He put many things into my lap so I could get customers into my door during hard times.  I will always appreciate him and what he did for me and the city.  From Cicadas, to VH1 to movies and TV.  Thanks Buz, you will be missed!

Spring Time Easy Cucumber Gazapacho Recipe

We have had a wonderful early spring and feel it is almost summer.  Gazpacho was calling me!  With no local tomatoes (that would be weird) I decided to put the emphasis on fresh herbs and cucumbers.  What I got was a delicious low calorie, healthy soup that reminded me of the months to come!

1/2 cup finely chopped fresh basil, cilantro and mint
1 medium red onion
1 medium green pepper (remove seeds)
1 medium to large jalapeno (remove seeds)
Add above ingredients to food processor and pulverize
Add 2 quarts of fresh squeezed tomato juice or use a good jarred brand
seed and finely chop 4 cucumbers
salt and pepper to taste (about 1 tablespoon for me)
                                                                     Served chilled

We will be giving away a prize sometime during every hour from 10am until 10pm. We are using random.org to choose the winners. Our last prize of the day is from the Cincinnati Ballet. It is two tickets to any show that they do this year. Rite Of Spring starts in just 5 days. You can learn more about it below.

RITE OF SPRING March 16-17, 2012 | Aronoff Center for the Arts Choreographer: Adam HouglandMusic: Igor Stravinsky, performed by the CSO Cincinnati Ballet Resident Choreographer, Adam Hougland, returns with his design partner Marion Williams. Their choreography and design for Stravinsky's Rite Of Spring premiered in Louisville in 2009. Williams and Hougland honor the composition's provocative history by creating around it a bold and daring world, expressing not a reverence of nature, but instead the dire consequences of turning one's back on it. "After creating Rite Of Spring, I find I love Stravinsky for what he forces out of me. The music is intricate, detailed and bizarre in some places, and beautiful but kind of shrill and atonal in others," says Hougland. It pushes you as a choreographer. It's not the kind of music I would just play at home. It's hard work, but the more you work with it, the more you fall in love." Choreographer for Vivace: Val Caniparoli
